Following the successful conduct of AUPCTRE’s 7th Quadrennial National Delegates Conference (NDC) in Kano, the Amalgamated Union of Public Corporation, Civil Service Technical and Recreational Employees (AUPCTRE) has formally completed the handover ceremony from the outgoing to the incoming leadership, comrade Eugene Manji (newly elected National President of AUPCTRE).

The handover ceremony took place on 8 October 2026 at the Union’s National Secretariat, marking an important milestone in the Union’s leadership transition and institutional continuity.

The transition followed the successful NDC held in Kano from 23rd to 24th September 2026, where delegates from the 36 states and FCT gathered to deliberate on the Union’s affairs, elect new leaders and chart a course for its future.

The formal handover underscores AUPCTRE’s commitment to orderly leadership succession, organisational stability, and the continued advancement of workers’ interests.

With the transition completed, the incoming leadership is expected to build on the achievements of its predecessors and strengthen the Union’s capacity to represent and defend the rights and welfare of its members.

The new leadership accepted the challenge to rise to the occasion with renewed commitment, transparency, accountability, and purposeful service. They emphasized that, together, we shall build a stronger, more united, and more formidable AUPCTRE that delivers on its mandate, protects the interests of its members, and advances the cause of workers with courage and determination.

The struggle continues!
