Comrade (Elder) Adekeye Ladipo Johnson was born to peasant parents in the early sixties. From Monba Compound. His father, Late Pa Julius Abiodun (Elero) Adekeye was one of the Sons of Late Chief Pa James (Agunsoye bi Oyinbo) Adekeye who held the position of High Chief Alaaye before his death. The Mother of Chief Johnson Adekeye is the late Princess Roselia Olawumi Adekeye (nee) Oba Clement Abegunde, Obajesun Orimadegun.
Comrade Ladipo Johnson grew up early in Igogo Ekiti in Moba Local Government of Ekiti State where he was born before his Parents relocated to Oko-Oke-Ila in Osun State (Aba Ejifunmi).
The Educational trajectory of Comrade Johnson Adekeye is that of a self-motivated person. He is what he is today by God and his strong determination to educational success.
Comrade Adekeye personally walked into St. Micheal Primary School and got himself enrolled as a Pupil. The news gladdened his peasant Parent as he got tutored by Late Chief Mrs. Ebe of blessed memory.
His love for Education later attracted him to his Uncle (a Father) Retired Commissioner and Director of DSS, Chief Jagunmolu of Ayedun Land, Chief Philip Oladimeji Adekeye. Comrade Johnson Adekeye later attended Oro Grammar School and finished in Osi Central Secondary School between 1974 and 1979 with a Fatherly support of Chief Jagunmolu of our great Kingdom. While living with him, Comrade Johnson Adekeye had his HSC Higher School Certificate and GCE advanced level at the Institute of Continuing Education Benin-City, Edo State between 1980 and 1982.
While living in Kano with his Uncle, he was employed as Store-keeper but our Comrade was not done with Education.
Today, Comrade Johnson Adekeye holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science from the Prestigious University of Abuja; a Post-Graduate Diploma in Labour and Industrial Relations from Micheal Imodu National Institute for Labour Studies (MINILS), Ilorin in 2012. He is a proud member of the Nigeria Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management (MNIPSM) 1986.
Our Comrade of Conscience holds many distinguished Certificates in Industrial and Labour Relations from National and International Institutions, including that of Public Services International (PSI), Stilfung Herbert Foundation, and American Solidarity Center Etc.
Since 2005, he has been an Industrial Relations Practitioner as a Trade Unionist with AUPCTRE an affiliate of Nigeria Labour Congress rising to the position of a Deputy-General Secretary and Head of Department of Planning Research Statistics, ICT and Public Relations.
In his Home-Town, Ayedun, Comrade Johnson Adekeye has been an advocate of unification who solidified indivisibility of Ayedun Kingdom in all ramifications.
He was the Financial Secretary of Ayedun Development Association (ADA) for about Ten (10) years during the times of Late Anthony Abegunde, Late Pa James Adebayo and Late Pa Johnson Omotosho with the likes of Elder Marcus Olayemu to mention but few.
Without being immodest, Comrade (Elder) Adekeye Ladipo Johnson has supported all Ayedun Development Association efforts till date and stand unequivocally for its oneness and indivisibility as a United Kingdom.
Comrade Johnson Adekeye is the current Chairman of Odo Ila Development initiatives which is being emulated by other progressive Ayedun Wards. Under his Chairmanship, Odo Ila Development Initiatives has fixed Erosional problems, provided Solar-powered Streetlights, fortified Community Security Policing, made more Motorable Road extensions to Neighboring Towns and Villages; thereby laying Solid Foundation for the growth of Commerce and Industry in the Overall Development of AYEDUN Town.
Elder Comrade Johnson Ladipo Adekeye is happily married to his heart-throb Deaconess, Oluwafunmilayo Adekeye (Chief, Mrs.). The Home is blessed with prosperous, contented and loving Male and Female children.
