PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinating the design and implementation of the Union-wide Training and Development plans; gender and women programmes; international affiliations and training Liaise with the gender desk officer on programmes that pertain to women and children Liaise with the Union’s international affiliates on issues of interest to AUPCTRE Assisting in training of staff/members and implementation of union’s Training and Development plans and programmes Supervision of other officers in the Training and Development of members.Guiding and counselling staff on issues relating to admissions into universities, polytechnics and other educational institutions.Coordinating the entire activities of the Training in the union,Coach, supervise and direct the activities of staff and provide appropriate guidance in the execution of the agreed work plans and programmes Coordinate the departmental activities and ensure compliance with the union’s operating policies, controls and procedure Implement through training and development recruitment strategies and plans to identify, select, hire and retain the best talent to meet AUPCTRE’s manpower needs Implement and effectively monitor appropriate employee training and development strategies, policies and programs to enable AUPCTRE attract and retain the best talent Implement effective performance and career management strategies that would help sustain a performance driven culture.Perform any other duties that might be assigned by the Head of Department.
